Professional Acupuncture Treatment in Westminster for Pain and Sports Injuries
Is pain getting in the way of running, tennis, the gym or simply moving comfortably? Cicely combines acupuncture with Tui Na, cuppping, gua sha and electroacupuncture, so your treatment is assessed and adapted by hand, not run from a fixed protocol.

Your first appointment (60-90 minutes)
Your first appointment lasts 60-90 minutes, so there's time to go through your pain or injury properly: when it started, what set it off, what makes it better or worse, and how it affects your sleep, digestion, appetite and mood. Cicely combines your history with a traditional pulse and tongue diagnosis, then gives you your first treatment in the same appointment. Wear loose clothing so Cicely can reach points on your arms and legs.
A hands-on approach
Treatment can combine acupuncture, Tui Na, cupping, gua sha and electroacupuncture. Which of these Cicely uses depends on what she finds when she examines the area, such as a tense muscle, a stiff joint or a flare-up of an old injury. At follow-ups she checks how your symptoms and movement have changed and adjusts the treatment.
Prefer no needles?
Tui Na is a medical massage from the Chinese medicine tradition, done through your clothes. Cicely holds a diploma in Tui Na. You can book it on its own or have it alongside acupuncture.

No. The needles used in acupuncture are incredibly fine, about the width of a strand of hair. Cicely uses a gentle, precise technique and most patients hardly feel the needle being inserted. Acupuncture is a calming, deeply relaxing experience that leaves many feeling refreshed and at ease.
